This is the Crystal Reel Award:
The new design of the Crystal Reel Award comes from the shapes and colors of the previous years, to encompass the shape and colors for the future. Designed by Tom Mitchell, Sr. of the Metro Orlando Chapter, the Crystal Reel Award showcases the elegant lines blended with materials significant to the name of the award, itself... CRYSTAL.
The Award was first created in 1989 as a paper award. Over the years it has morphed to plastic, wood and glass... but never to have been made from crystal. The new design is now owned and will be copyrighted by FMPTA, so this will be a significant award within the industry, coveted by professionals everywhere.

Call For Entries have now been released.
In order to make the intake and judging of entries easier for the Production Team, there have been some changes.
Categories: Short film/video has been expanded to three areas. Live action, documentary and animation are now your choices in this category.
Judging: Will be done by established industry professionals, secured mostly outside of Florida. Therefore, we will be sending screening copies to our judges, to be returned with score sheets. You have the choice of providing duplicate media or adding a nominal fee to your entry and we'll have professional duplicates made by Omni Productions/Media Clone.
